Prices
Prices given on the internet site exclude VAT, unless indicated otherwise. Prices do not include packing or carriage. Though we try to confirm carriage charges in advance of sending out goods, we recommend that customers ask for carriage quote if they are unsure about the likely charges. Prices and carriage charges are subject to change without notice. Goods are supplied on the basis of prices ruling at the date of dispatch.
Delivery & Returns
Goods are normally dispatched promptly by return, but please allow up to 21 days for delivery. We will try and advise if delivery is likely to be delayed. Brodie & Middleton Ltd will accept no liability for losses incurred as a result of late or delayed delivery of goods.
All errors and short deliveries must be notified verbally within three days of receipt of the goods, or in writing within ten days of receipt of goods. Claims received after these dates may not be accepted.
Brodie & Middleton Ltd reserves the right not to accept the return of goods ordered in error or no longer needed by the customer. Any goods taken back into stock will be subject to a ‘return to stock’ fee.
Suitability for Use
We take every care to ensure that products supplied are of the highest quality and vary minimally from batch to batch. Many of our products are manufactured from natural substances whose properties may vary in different circumstances. It is, the customer's responsibility to ensure that the goods purchased are suitable for their particular requirements. We do not accept claims under any circumstances for work alleged to have been adversely affected by use of a product that proves to be unsatisfactory. Our liability is
therefore confined to the value of the goods alone.
Product Descriptions
We make every effort to ensure that all descriptions used on the website and in our printed literature are accurate. However, all descriptions should be understood to be ‘nominal’. That is, that they may be in some way approximate, or may refer to a quality or style of material rather than an exact measurement. We do not accept claims under any circumstances for
loss alleged to have been caused by use of a product that proves to be different from its description. We recommend that if the customer needs to confirm the exact properties of material, they contact Brodie & Middleton Ltd in advance of ordering.
Credit Cards & PayPal
We are glad to accept all major credit and debit cards. These include: Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Visa Delta, Connect, Solo and American Express. We can also accept payment via PayPal using the link on our website. Some Electron cards are ‘electronic use only’ and cannot be keyed. These cards cannot be accepted for mail order transactions.
We reserve the right to decline card transactions where the billing address submitted by the customer does not match that provided to us by the card issuer.
Opening Times
The shop is open from 9 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday. Saturday collections can usually be arranged with three days notice from our sister shop
L. Cornelissen & Son, at 105 Great Russell Street.
Competition Terms and coditions
1. Placing of comments as ‘feedback’ on our website will ensure automatic entry into the prize draw.
2. The prize is not specified and may be changed without notice.
3. No alternative prize is available and the prize is not transferable. No cash alternative will be offered for any prize.
4. This free prize draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over except for employees of Brodie & Middleton Limited, associated companies, their families, agencies or any other company directly connected with the administration of this promotion. You do not need to buy anything to enter.
5. The company reserves the right to veto any feedback placed on the site and will not enter into discussion relating to the removal of content. Unsuitable or inappropriate content will be removed immediately. Anyone placing unsuitable or inappropriate feedback will forfeit their inclusion in the prize draw.
6. Only one entry per household. Third party registrations will not be accepted.
7. The draw will be made at quarterly intervals throughout the year (31/03, 30/06, 31/09 & 24/12, or nearest working day). There will be one winner per draw.
8. The winner will be drawn independently and at random from all valid entries received and will be notified by email within 72 hours of the actual draw date. If the winner is unable to be contacted after a reasonable period or any prize is declined, a supplementary winner may be drawn at Brodie & Middleton Ltd’s discretion. Brodie & Middleton Ltd will not be responsible for any inability of the prize winner to take up the specified prize.
9. In the event of fraud, abuse, and/or an error affecting the proper operation of the promotion, including the allocation of more prizes than are available, Brodie & Middleton Ltd reserves the right to end or suspend the promotion; amend these terms & conditions; declare void the notification of winners; and/or to allocate available prizes by conducting a simple draw from all wrongly allocated winners.

12. Brodie & Middleton Limited’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entries that do not comply may be disqualified.
